EcoTrack — Carbon Footprint

About This Project

EcoTrack is a gamified sustainability platform that empowers users to understand and reduce their carbon footprint through daily actions and challenges. The app uses machine learning models (Python/scikit-learn) to estimate carbon emissions from user activities, and provides personalized recommendations for reduction. A social leaderboard and achievement system keeps users engaged. Built with Next.js for the frontend, Python/FastAPI for the ML backend, PostgreSQL for data storage, and deployed on AWS with auto-scaling to handle traffic spikes during environmental awareness campaigns.
